For anybody looking to get involved in a film studio setting and bring the magic of their projects to life, it's easier than ever! If you are looking for methods to start emulating your favourite movies, it's not so difficult to achieve anymore because all you need is a green screen. There have been so many movies and TV shows that used a green screen (also known as a green cove studio), and here are some of our favourites.

Gone Girl

A great movie but one not normally considered for its special effects. However, this and many other movies by David Fincher use green screen technology to great effect. So many parts of the movie benefited from a green screen that you wouldn't even notice, thinking that it was just filmed on location, but this is why a green screen is not just for high-end special effects movies; they can work wonders for taught psychological thrillers as well.

The Avengers

Every Marvel movie you can think of has been brought to life through a green screen. All the big action sequences would not look half as impressive if it weren't for green screen technology. The final battle of the first Avengers movie is a perfect example as all the characters need to come together in the vast backdrop of the battle of New York at the end of the movie.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit

A movie that was pioneering in so many ways, this 80s movie was shot very heavily in front of the precursor to the green screen, the blue screen, where lead actor Bob Hoskins acted entirely by himself pretending he was surrounded by cartoons within a cartoon world. This is the very first movie of its kind where animation mixed so well with actors, and if it wasn't for this groundbreaking movie we wouldn't have future movies like Spy Kids or Space Jam, or indeed The Lord Of The Rings!

300

This was another movie that was the first of its kind. It would have been impossible to achieve any of its unique aesthetic on a normal movie set. The whole look was inspired by the comic and the movie aimed to replicate its unique visual style through green screen technology. The movie became a worldwide success, mainly due to its style, and was a line in the sand for movies that completely used green screen.

Avatar

This is the movie that truly raised the benchmark for the green screen. So much so that James Cameron has still yet to finish the follow-up to this 2009 phenomenon. The forests of Pandora look so realistic and every aspect was brought to life with motion capture technology in front of a green screen, making it an absolute marvel to look at.

There have been so many movies that use a green screen. From major smashes like Star Wars to award fodder Like The Great Gatsby, the fact is that using a green screen or green cove studio is an amazing way to bring film and photography projects to life.
